Thesis Statement - Lowering the Drinking Age

Lowering the drinking age, especially in today's society will help young adults to be more responsible for their actions and make better decisions. A lower drinking age will promote responsibility in younger adults as well as providing role models for even younger children.

    I think that both of your sentences sound like a solution, so maybe your first could say commment about the current status of drinking. You have a good working solution.

    A lowered drinking age in other countries tends to work, maybe they will rethink and lower the driving age back to 16 also

    I agree with Connie, your topic is good, but both sentences sound like they are solutions. I would just reword the first sentence to state just the issue. Sounds like a promising beginning! Would like to read it when your finished.
