My Life as Cinderella - The Happily Ever After

The story of Cinderella is well known to just about everyone. How she was raised by her evil stepmother while her dad was away and eventually died, and how her stepmother and sisters had her doing all the chores around the house while they did nothing. She then meets the prince and they fall in love and live happily ever after.

My story? Not quite the same. I work my butt off twenty-four/seven around the house, and most of time I don't feel like it's ever appreciated or even noticed. However, I do not live in the poorest conditions in which I wear rags and eat a dinner of bread and water.

In comparing Cinderella and myself, there are a lot of similarities as well as differences. Throughout Cinderella's life, she has worked very hard under very poor conditions and to her luck it had been worth every scrubbing second.

While I am not working under such harsh conditions, I am constantly struggling to pay bills, and to keep up with school as well as around the house. One partial difference between the "Cinderella" and I, is the fact that indeed I am not of royalty but I also do not live in a one-room shack.

  1. Wow you got a lot on your shoulders. In comparing your self to Cinderella though, you should have your happily ever after.
